Do I need a referral from my Doctor to get treatment covered under WorkCover?
You do not need a referral from your doctor to access physiotherapy under WorkCover (WorkSafe Victoria). You will, however, need to have an approved claim.
Can you bill WorkCover directly?
It will depend on whether your claim has been approved. Clients are required to pay the full amount on the day of their treatment until the claim has been accepted by the relevant insurer.
If you have lodged your claim but are still waiting for approval, your employer may agree to pay for physiotherapy treatment while you wait for your claim to be assessed.
If your claim has been approved, please bring your Claim Approval letter with you – this will include your claim number and date of injury.
Can you issue a WorkCover (Worksafe Victoria) Certificate Of Capacity?
WorkSafe Guidelines require your doctor to issue the first certificate. Your physiotherapist can issue all subsequent certificates.
Can you do a worksite visit before I go back to work?
Our physiotherapists routinely complete a worksite visit to ensure you are returning to a safe workplace. Even if you have already returned to work, a worksite visit is often recommended to ensure you can stay at work and have the best chance of preventing injury in the future
Do I have to be a member at Bodytek Fitness?
No. Everyone is welcome to come in for physiotherapy treatment. As a Your Story client, you have access to all the excellent facilities at Bodytek Fitness during your treatment sessions.
Do you charge a Gap for WorkCover Physiotherapy?
We do not charge a gap. We take you through your entire rehab after an injury and there is no out of pocket cost to you. All we ask is that you come to the appointments you book in
How long does physio for work injuries last?
You can receive physiotherapy for as long as you need after an injury.
How long are your Treatment Sessions for WorkCover patients?
A standard physiotherapy session for work injuries may last anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes.
